Cynthia Florez-DeLyon has been appointed director of Adult Rehabilitative Programs for the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation (CDCR).

Florez-DeLyon has served at CDCR, Office of Prevention and Victim Services as a parole administrator I adult parole (AP) to the division of adult parole operations, parole planning and placement since 2009.

Previously, she served at CDCR, Office of Prevention and Victim Services as parole administrator I AP to the division of adult operations, reentry facilities from 2007 to 2009; youth authority administrator, rehabilitative services (RS) to the Division of Juvenile Justice in 2007; parole agent II, specialist, youth authority (YA) and parole agent III, YA from 2005 to 2007; special assistant to the director from 2004 to 2005; youth authority administrator, RS from 2003 to 2004; parole agent III, YA from 2000 to 2003 and parole agent II specialist, YA from 1998 to 2000. She worked at the Juvenile Parole Headquarters Office in Sacramento as parole agent I, YA from 1997 to 1998.

Florez-DeLyon worked as a casework specialist, YA at the Northern Reception Center and Clinic from 1995 to 1997 and a training and development assignment to casework specialist, YA from 1993 to 1995. She served the Karl Holton Youth Correctional Facility as youth correctional counselor from 1992 to 1993 and the Northern Reception Center and Clinic as youth correctional officer in 1992.
