The 27th Annual Baker to Vegas relay race took place April 16-17. Parole agents, correctional officers, and other members of CDCR participated in this annual race. The 120-mile trek takes place in the Mojave Desert, beginning in Baker, California, and ending short of Las Vegas on Nevada Highway 160. Team 266 was there in force to proudly represent the department.
“The department’s participation in this challenging race is a testament to the resilience, teamwork, and competitive nature of our staff—traits that serve the organization well during these difficult times in our state’s history,” said Robert Ambroselli, Director, Division of Adult Parole Operations. “Our team runners represented and symbolized through the run that as a department we are competitors by nature. Whether on the tiers or on the streets, CDCR staff faces daily challenges and uncertainties with a positive perspective.”
