National Guard Studies at CTC

State and federal program managers for the California Army and Air National Guard attended a fiscal management course at the Correctional Training Center in Galt.

The purpose of the course was to ensure the 180 managers are good stewards of the public funds they use to procure equipment and services. Subjects covered included federal fiscal law, internal management controls and procurement ethics.

The California National Guard, in looking for ways to reduce cost and still provide training to its soldiers, chose the Galt training center for its location, facilities and reduced cost for an allied state agency.

Lieutenant Colonel Tamara Frattalone, Deputy Financial Manager, thanked CDCR, saying, “By allowing the California National Guard to utilize your resources, you have exemplified a commitment to joint efforts providing exceptional services to the community we serve”.
