Judy Gelein, Deputy Director, Human Resources, will retire effective July 13. She previously served as Chief of Workforce Planning and Selection. Gelein has worked for the state for nearly 29 years and for CDCR for almost seven.
Andrea Wallin-Rohmann has been named to replace Gelein, according to a memo from Scott R. Carney, Director of the Division of Administrative Services. She will move to Human Resources on May 1 to begin the transition.
Wallin-Rohmann is CDCR’s Chief Information Officer and was named 2012 California CIO of the Year. She was honored for her technology leadership, public service and accomplishments in managing CDCR’s major IT projects and efforts.
Carney announced two additional appointments.
Kathy Manzer-Matsuo will serve as the acting Associate Director of Human Resources. She currently oversees the Office of Employee Wellness.
Stacy Lopez-Kassis will serve Chief of the Office of Resource Planning. She is on loan to Human Resources from the Office of Business Services.
