The California Rehabilitation Center (CRC) Honor Guard recently participated in the Correctional Peace Officers Foundations (CPOF) Annual Project 2000 XXlll.
Project 2000 XXIII, which was June 7-10 in Washington, D.C., included the National Memorial Service for corrections professionals killed in the line of duty the preceding year.
The work and dedication of CRC’s Honor Guard members earned them an invitation to participate in the event. To raise money for the trip, team members participated in fund-raisers – from car washes to food sales – during their non-working hours.
The CRC Honor Guard members purchased their own tickets and made personal arrangements through swaps and use of holiday/vacation credit to represent CDCR.

This was the 12th year the CRC Honor Guard attended the CPOF National Memorial Service.
