Iron State Prison (ISP) employees recently bought and gave gifts more than 40 children at the Appleby and Ruth Brown elementary schools.

Ironwood State Prison personnel hand out gifts they bought to elementary school students.

“The children receiving the gifts are so appreciative, it makes you wish you could do more”, said Lt. Willie Hawkins, ISP Public Information Officer.

“I look forward to next year when, I hope, we can increase our gift giving to include more of these well-deserving children,” said Warden Dave Long.

Warden Long and Lt. Hawkins were assisted by a number of ISP staff, including Community Resources Manager Carie Covel, Associate Warden Lorraine Scott-Barron, Facility Capt. Sue Smith, Lt. Krystal Davis and Office Services Supervisor Lisa Crispin.
