Earlier this month, 55 very special children and their mothers, who reside at Prototypes Re-Entry Court Residential Treatment Program in Pomona, were given a special Christmas party.

Staff from the Division of Adult Parole Operations, San Gabriel Valley District, and the California Institution for Men joined to give some mothers and children a merry holiday.

Staff from the Division of Adult Parole Operations, San Gabriel Valley District, and the California Institution for Men (CIM) took part in a the event to bring an evening of happiness to the mothers and children.

When the agents and correctional staff arrived to deliver the gifts, the children’s excitement erupted and immediately filled the auditorium. Agents and officers from CDCR rose to the occasion to deliver holiday happiness.

Agent Gina Avila with assistance from Agent Cynthia Martinez, San Gabriel Valley I; Agent Ginger Fierro, El Monte II; Agent Lesley Smith, El Monte II; Agent Lourdes Wise Funa, and Agent A.J. Valdez, El Monte I; Agent Javier Mata and Agent Jose Morales, SGV I, were instrumental in selecting, purchasing, wrapping and delivering the gifts.

The entire San Gabriel District, along with the CIM staff, assisted in the purchasing of the gifts and delivery. One of the agents also dressed up as Santa Claus.
