CRC inmates conduct food sale to benefit local charities

By Lt. Martin Alexi, Administrative Assistant/PIO

The incarcerated population at the California Rehabilitation Center (CRC) participated in a food sale this month that produced a major donation of food to several charities.

Warden Cynthia Y. Tampkins donated 250 pounds of food and 175 quarts of beverages to both the Settlement House of Norco and the Corona/Norco Rescue Mission.

“CRC has developed a partnership with the Corona/Norco Rescue Mission to endeavor to provide financial and or other sustenance for a year,” Warden Tampkins said.  “The donations to our community are one way our inmates are able to give back and in a small way make amends for their misdeeds.”
