Remember to set your clocks forward one hour on Saturday night as Daylight Saving Times (DST) takes effect on Sunday, March 10.

Here are some facts about DST:

DST was altered to its present state by the Energy Policy Act of 2005. The bill was passed by Congress and then signed into law by President George W. Bush on Aug. 8, 2005.  Under the law, DST begins on the second Sunday in March.

DST ends on the first Sunday in November. The new start and stop period began in March 2007.
