CALPIA’s Annual Golf Benefit is Sept. 13

CALPIA’s annual Golf Benefit is coming up on Friday, Sept. 13, at the Empire Ranch Golf Club in Folsom. This four-person scramble “best ball” format is really popular – especially with those who don’t play much.  This is zero-pressure golf for a great cause.

The benefit began ten years ago with a small group of CALPIA employees playing a round of golf at the Mather Golf Course.   Since then, CALPIA has set a new attendance record every year.  More and more people from CDCR are coming out for this low-key, fun Friday in September with friends, plus a great dinner.

Go find three friends and sign up today.

The beneficiaries are the St. Johns Shelter for Women and Children, Folsom Project for the Visually Impaired, and Moral Values Program of Sacramento.

Golfers must sign up by Monday, September 9.

Contact Rick Hirtzel at (916) 358-1487 or Rick.Hirtzel@calpia.ca.gov for more information.

I am Co-Chair for the “Letters To Santa” golf tournament which also hosts an annual golf tournament every year at Bookside Country Club. The event is designed to raise money for under privileged kids in our communities. This year, the even is on Oct. 7 with a “shotgun start” and features several teams from our CDCR community. Please contact me for more information and to help support this worthy event.
