Pine Grove firefighters raise $1,000 for Operation Care

During July, firefighters at Pine Grove Youth Conservation Camp participated in a Fundraising event led by Youth Correctional Counselor Deborah Brady. They were raised $1,000 to donate to Operation Care.

On Aug. 20th we presented them with the check. They were very grateful, and stated that our donation would help to provide families with a safe harbor and keep them out of harm’s way.

It will also assist them in being able to keep their crisis hotline available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. This made the wards feel good about themselves for helping out the local community.

Operation Care is a Non-Profit Organization that specializes in the following services: Domestic Violence Support Services and Advocacy, Rape Counseling, Support Services and Advocacy,

Amador County Safe House for Battered Women and Children, Safe Harbor for Battered Men and a 24-hour Crisis Line.
