The California Rehabilitation Center (CRC) celebrated Veteran’s Day by donating to local organizations.

Two local groups recently benefited from funds raised during a Veterans Day food sale sponsored by Veterans in Prison, an Inmate Leisure Time Activity Group, at CRC in Norco.

The recipients, each receiving $1,000, were:

• Norco High School Varsity Basketball

• The American Legion Post 289

Arlington National Cemetery also received a donation of 2,000 American flags, which were placed on the graves of fallen soldiers on Veteran’s Day weekend.

“We are proud of our service men and women across the nation, and we are proud to thank them publicly,” said Warden Cynthia Tampkins.
