Help keeping kids warm this holiday season

The California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation (CDCR), California State Assembly member Richard Pan (AD 09), Council member Bonnie Pannell, City Council District 8, and the Correctional Workers Who Care (CWWC) have teamed up this holiday season to host the 2nd Annual Meadowview Holiday Festival on

Dec. 14, 2013 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

During the event underserved youth up to age 17 will receive a hand knit scarf or hat produced by the Hook & Needles Groups at Folsom State Prison and Folsom Women’s Facility.

Yarn donations of any color or textured skein of yarn is sought.  More than 300 skeins are required to ensure every child that attends the event leaves with a warm winter scarf or hat.  Donated yarn is accepted through Dec. 6, 2013.
