California Substance Abuse Treatment Facility raised $2,600 for Big Brothers/Big Sisters of Central California through staff pledges and inmate charity fund drives this month.

Staff from the institution participated in “Bowl For Kids’ Sake,” which is the national organization’s largest annual fund-raiser and gives supporters the opportunity to come together for bowling, entertainment, prizes and fun.

Big Brothers/Big Sisters works to help broaden children’s perspectives and help them learn how to make good choices by carefully matching volunteers and children in a long-term, life-changing mentoring relationship.

This is great idea, particulary for children that do not have a good relationship with their parents, it helps them stay on the right path.
