CDCR at center court for NBA Playoffs

Honor Guard at NBA game

The Honor Guard from Calipatria State Prison was at center court to help the National Basketball Association tip off Southern California’s first playoff game of the 2014 season on Saturday, as the Los Angeles Clippers began their series against the Golden State Warriors.

Representing CDCR were Correctional Officers Darryl Pollard, Hector Verduzco, Fred Gomez and Assistant Commander Bernardo Bojorquez.

The Honor Guard presented the California Golden Bear flag and the U.S Stars and Stripes during opening ceremonies in front of a capacity crowd of more than 17,000 fans at the Staples Center in downtown Los Angeles.
