Wasco State Prison Reception Center leads effort to raise $11,800 for charities

Numerous CDCR prisons were represented April 11 at the annual Wasco State Prison Reception Center (WSP-RC) Warden’s Charity Golf Tournament at The Links at River Lakes Ranch in Bakersfield. The sold-out tourney was attended by retired and current Wardens.

The proceeds went to nonprofit charities in the community of Wasco and Kern County.  WSP-RC strives to maintain its positive influence Wasco and Kern County by partnering with local organizations that give back to the community.

The Warden’s Charity Golf Tournament, along with the numerous fundraisers that WSP-RC undertakes during the year, made this a very successful year.  WSP-RC raised $11,800 the American Cancer Society’s for Relay for Life of Wasco and to assist local nonprofit charities that assist the less fortunate with in Wasco and Kern County.

WSP-RC extended a sincere thank-you the participants and sponsors that made this year’s golf tournament a success.

    I’ve been to this event before and it has always been a well organized event for a worthy cause. It’s nice for people to be able to get together outside of work at such a nice venue.
