CSP-COR TAKE CHILD TO WORK DAYCalifornia State Prison, Corcoran, hosted approximately 70 children during National Take Your Child to Work Day, which began with doughnuts and cartoons.

Warden (A) Dave Davey welcomed the children and spoke about the important job their parents have as employees of CSP-Corcoran.

“Your parents work really hard to make this prison run,” he told them.

The children toured the outer perimeter of the prison and observed a Fire Truck Show, as well as other activities including a training scenario at the range by the Crisis Response Team (CRT) and a tour of the PIA Dairy where they were given chocolate milk and cookies.

Little Caesar’s Pizza donated pizza for lunch, and each child received a $5 McDonalds gift card donated by Woodmen Insurance.  At the end of the day, each child was able to visit their parent’s work area.
