California State Prison, Solano, hosted an information booth at the Travis Air Force Base air show on May 3-4.

Staff from San Quentin State Prison, the California Medical Facility (CMF) and Headquarters participated in the event. The group provided information from the Crisis Response Team tactical and hostage negotiator staff and had equipment on hand from CSP-Solano and CMF.

The CSP-Solano Investigative Services Unit provided a shadow board displaying inmate-manufactured weapons, and visitors could tour a transportation van used to transport inmates up and down the state.

Two K-9 dogs and their handlers from CSP-Solano and San Quentin gave demonstrations throughout the two-day event.

Headquarters staff provided recruitment materials to the public and military personnel about careers with the CDCR, sparking interest among many of the estimated 120,000 people who attended the event.
