Steve Leishman

Pelican Bay State Prison (PBSP) reported that retired Correctional Officer Steve Leishman passed away on June 13.

He began his CDCR career on Nov. 6, 1993. Upon graduation from the academy, he worked at Centinela State Prison.

He transferred to PBSP on Aug. 8, 1994, where he remained until his retirement on Jan. 5, 2014.

    He was such an awsome friend with a smile for everyone. Always saying Hi and meaning it even if quick and just passing by. You will be greatly missed my friend. Rest in peace. You won’t be forgotten.

    So sad to hear of Steve’s passing. I coached youth football with him, and his dedication to the kids was inspiring. It was all about the kids and they always came first. You won’t find a man with a bigger heart. Rest in peace old friend, you won’t be forgotten.

      Very sad to hear of Steve’s passing. He always had a cheery smile and disposition. He will be missed by all who knew him. He will not be forgotten. May your family and friends find peace during this sad time. RIP
