A motorcycle ride will be held Sept. 13, starting at 9 a.m. Folsom State Prison (FSP) in honor of three deceased officers who served at the prison. Proceeds go to charity.

“We invite interested parties to join us for a leisurely ride to Swabbies on the river as we remember and celebrate the lives of Lt. Anthony Gentile, Sgt. Roger Milbourn and CO Hugh Reed,” said Sgt. Fred Clemens, one of the ride’s organizers.

“They are gone, but never forgotten. They were men among men, and left a powerful legacy. So come, celebrate with us,” he said.

Non-riders can join the event by meeting at Swabbies restaurant, 5871 Garden Highway, at noon on Sept. 13.  There will be live music by the band Sweet Revenge, Sgt. Clemens said.

Riders/passengers cost is $30, which includes a T-shirt, riders patch and lunch. Lunch only is $15.

Proceeds from the ride will be donated to Caring Bridges, a non-profit that offers free personalized websites to people facing serious medical conditions, hospitalization, undergoing medical treatment and/or recovering from a significant accident, illness, injury or procedure.
