CCWF prison staff go pink, raise funds to fight cancer

Central California Women’s Facility

The staff at Central California Women’s Facility recently donned pink, and raise funds, to help highlight breast cancer awareness.

The staff at CCWF raised awareness by wearing pink and donating gift baskets to raise money for the Fresno County American Cancer Society. The proceeds go toward finding cures and the causes of breast cancer and helping patients and survivors.

The Inmate Leisure Time Activity Groups (ILTAG) also participated in the fight against breast cancer, donating money and organizing a walk-a-thon to show their support.

Warden Deborah K. Johnson said, “I am very pleased with the contributions by staff and inmates to this worthy cause.  We look forward in making this event more successful in 2015, thank you all.”

All proceeds totaled $6,030.20, which was donated to the American Cancer Society on behalf of everyone at CCWF.
