Governor appoints warden to Folsom State Prison

Ron Rackley was named Warden of Folsom State Prison.

Governor Edmund G. Brown Jr. has appointed Ronald Rackley, 49, of Elk Grove, to the post of warden at Folsom State Prison. He has served as the prison’s acting warden since 2014.

Rackley was acting warden at the California Health Care Facility from 2012 to 2014 and held several positions at the Deuel Vocational Institution from 1987 to 2012, including warden, chief deputy administrator, correctional administrator, captain, lieutenant, sergeant and officer.

This position does not require Senate confirmation.
