In a show of support for prison volunteers, Centinela and Calipatria State Prisons recently held a joint volunteer appreciation and training seminar.

Over 120 volunteers were present to receive recognition and appreciation for the thousands of hours they freely give.

Wardens from both prisons, institution chaplains, and custody staff were on hand to show their appreciation.

A few of the training topics for the event included Working with Custody, Confidentiality and Mandatory Reporting, Brown Card Responsibilities, Recognizing Mental Health Issues and Safety and Security.

All attendees received certificates of appreciation for their attendance.

All the presenters gave us valuable educational help as well as courteous appreciation so we can work as a team for both inmates and CDCR.
    Thank you for your support

All volunteers are truly appreciated. They set their personal life/interests aside to give their time freely and unselfishly. They do cause a good impact in the inmate population. Thanks to all the volunteers for a job well done!
