The Chuckawalla Valley State Prison (CVSP) Employee Association raised $6,148 with their annual “All You Can Eat Crab and One Steak” Dinner and Dance.

The late February bash, held at the Colorado River Fairgrounds, is put on by CVSP’s administration and the association to “provide a nice dinner entertainment to the community and the employees of CVSP and Ironwood State Prison,” according to organizers. The event was open to the public.

The money raised goes back into the local community in the form of scholarships, Easter baskets and support for the local fairgrounds.

“We would like to thank everyone for their participation on behalf of CVSP’s Administration and the EA,” organizers wrote.
