CRC recognized for efforts hosting wheelchair basketball games

Mayor Pro Tem Kevin Bash invited California Rehabilitation Center (CRC) Warden Cynthia Y. Tampkins as a guest to City Hall in Norco to present a certificate of appreciation for her support and assistance with the Wheelchair Basketball team.

Last October, Warden Tampkins jumped at the chance to host a Wheelchair Basketball exhibition at CRC where the Rolling Devils and the Rolling Bears displayed great athleticism and skill playing against one another in a wheelchair basketball scrimmage in the CRC gymnasium.

On Wednesday, Feb. 18, Mr. Bash presented a certificate of appreciation to Warden Tampkins on behalf of the City of Norco, also recognizing CRC Community Resource Manager Delinia Lewis for her assistance in coordinating the event.

Mr. Bash also recognized California Correctional Peace Officers Association (CCPOA) President Ken Steward, presenting him with a certificate of appreciation for his role and support.

Warden Tampkins is thankful for her certificate and expressed her appreciation and continued support of the programs and activities of the local community.
