Riding horseback into the Folsom Pro Rodeo arena in early July was a young lady with a familiar last name. It’s no wonder, since she’s the daughter of California State Prison, Solano, Correctional Officer Sean Gamble.

Tanner Gamble lassoed the title of the Miss Folsom Pro Rodeo Queen for 2015. Her duties include representing the Folsom Chamber of Commerce, Folsom Pro Rodeo and the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association.

The competition consisted of an interview with judges, modeling, speech, horsemanship and horsemanship interview.

This year, the contestants also randomly drew the name of a horse belonging to a member of the Painted Ladies Rodeo Performers. They then had to ride the horse in a second horsemanship competition.
