Candy was one of the first female officers in Statewide Transportation. She set a standard and conducted herself in a way that allows female officers to do our job today with respect. She was always sharp and did her job and then some. She told it like it was and expected everyone to do their job. She would also give you the shirt off her back. I am grateful that I was able to know her and hope to live up to the legacy she set forth.

Candy, my dearest friend and coworker. She was one of the smartest and kindest people I have ever met! I was so lucky to be part of her life until the end. She was a truly dedicated officer. She graduated to a better life. She was a trooper and fought to the last minute of her life. She was an admirable friend I will never forget. We will meet again. Love you forever and ever.
