Employees from Deuel Vocational Institution, Tracy Police Department and the Tracy office of the California Highway Patrol teamed up on Thursday, Oct. 22, to serve as wait staff at the local Red Robin Restaurant.

Five Correctional Officers from DVI waited tables and served food alongside fellow law enforcement officials.

From 4 to 8 p.m., they served dinner and drinks, bused tables and cleaned.

The event raised $2,223 to be donated to the Northern California Special Olympics.

Warden Jerome Price and Chief Deputy Warden Kathryn Kesterson attended the event showing their support for the Special Olympics and to cheer on the officers for donating their generous time for the Special Olympics.
