North Kern State Prison Warden (A) Kelly Santoro rallied the staff in assisting the participants of Casa Aurora, a re-entry program.

The goals of the Custody to Community Transitional Re-Entry Program (CCTRP) are to promote a better opportunity and self-esteem for the residents.

These goals are achieved through educational vocational achievement, family and social support, health/mental health services, substance abuse treatment, comprehensive case management and completion of life plan goals. The professional clothing provided to the women ranged from dresses, blazers and pant suits.

Warden Santoro was given a tour of the facility and was able to meet with the some of the female offenders.

The females were extremely grateful for the much-needed donations. The facility houses 75 female offenders who at some point during their stay are allowed to go into the community to attend interviews to seek employment.
