Staff from High Desert State Prison (HDSP) recently jumped into the ice-cold waters of Lake Tahoe to benefit Special Olympics.

The Polar Plunge for Special Olympics fundraiser found participants plunging into Lake Tahoe at the Zephyr Cove.

For the fourth year of participating, HDSP had several brave souls who jumped into the frigid lake and raised $2,261.

Warden M. Eliot Spearman Sr. was very impressed and praised his staff for supporting Special Olympics.
