Jamaal Abron

California State Prison, Solano, reported the passing of California Prison Industry Authority (CALPIA) Heavy Truck Driver Jamaal Abron on May 21.

Mr. Abron started his career with CALPIA on Jan. 2, 2014, as a Heavy Truck Driver at CSP-Solano. On March 2, 2016, he begin working on an out-of-class assignment to promote to an Industrial Warehouse and Distribution Specialist.

    May you rest in peace my brother. I have been gone on vacation and just learned about this tragedy today. Such a young brilliant man. I worked with him weekly in PIA Industries. I am in shock and deeply saddend. He was such a wonderful person with so much ambition to further himself and succeeed.
    My heart goes out to his family and friends. God bless.

    He was a good young man that I, along with my family, liked. He was young enough to be my son. It hurt me so bad my family could tell that I cared a lot about him. I’ll always remember him. There’s nothing I could say bad about him. He was always a good young man, which is rare these days. He lived in peace and he’ll rest in peace. I miss you, man.

    Jamaal was like a bright light. He had a great smile and was quick to laugh. He was always respectful, kind, and helpful to me. He was a fine young gentleman, taken too soon.

    I had the opportunity to work perodiocally with Jamall. You coulnd’t find a nicer guy than him, a great co-worker always with a smile and great attitude.
    I am deeply saddend by his passing. R.I.P.
