The Ironwood State Prison’s Employees’ Association (ISP EA) recently donated $5,500 in scholarships to 10 Palo Verde High School students.

The scholarship application is graded on their grade point average, work history, involved activities, and an essay submitted with their application. The top candidates receive an interview with the Warden, Chief Deputy Warden and two ISP EA Board Members. The student with the top overall score received a $1,000 scholarship and nine students received a $500 scholarship during a May 19 event.

ISP EA began donating yearly to the local high school in 2010. These scholarships are possible through numerous fundraisers throughout the year and are supported from our generous staff.
