The day began with a 5K Color Run which included over 90 participants. Employees and their family members and guests enjoyed a variety of activities throughout the day.

The day included a Chili Cook-Off and a Best Dessert Bake-Off. A featured activity was the CTF vs. SVSP softball game which was well attended and won by the CTF Chain Gang team who retained bragging rights for another year.

Other activities included a car and motorcycle show, horseshoe tournament and rock wall climbing.

One of the highlights of the event was tricycle racing which thrilled both the kids and the adults.

The Crisis Response Team (CRT) displayed all of their tactical gear and explained their mission and the roles they play in maintaining a safe prison and community.

The Investigative Services K-9 unit was a hit once again with the kids.  Both CTF Warden Shawn Hatton and SVSP Warden William Muniz took turns in the dunk booth as they each challenged employees to hit the target, plunging them into the chilly water.

The DJ played music for the attendees as various vendors marketed their services.  For the kids, time in the bounce house and enjoying snow cones and other refreshments completed a fun-filled day.

CTF retained bragging rights with their win over the SVSP softball team.
