On Oct. 20, in joint efforts between Wardens Scott Frauenheim of Pleasant Valley State Prison (PVSP) and Rosemary Ndoh of Avenal State Prison (ASP), a combined leadership style training was conducted at PVSP.

CDCR Undersecretary of Operations Ralph Diaz and CDCR Director of Adult Institutions Kathleen Allison provided leadership training to both institutions’ executive staff, as well as all on-duty supervisors at PVSP.

Undersecretary Diaz discussed the “Realities of CDCR Leadership” while fielding questions from the audience.

Director Allison spoke about stepping up and fulfilling your role as a leader. Warden Ndoh provided training on Cultural Diversity within CDCR. Warden Frauenheim also offered training for managers.

The attendees said they appreciated Undersecretary Diaz, Director Allison, and Wardens Frauenheim and Ndoh for setting up the training and for taking the time out of their busy schedules to lead by example while enlightening them on the Realities of Leadership.
