DAPO staff speaks to students.

Northern Region Division of Adult Parole Operations staff recently stopped by Sacred Heart School in Red Bluff to discuss the importance of making positive choices in life.

Parole Agent III Kim White, Parole Agent II John Alvarez, and Chief Deputy (A) David Nichols discussed how choices made now would impact their future. They talked about alcohol and tobacco use, peer pressure, how to say no, how to reach out to a responsible adult and other topics. There was also a question-and-answer session about state parole and law enforcement in general.

At the end of the presentation, staff handed out Parole badge stickers, pencils, pencil pouches, safety lights and whistles.
