In keeping with CDCR’s increased focus on restorative justice opportunities, inmates at High Desert State Prison A Yard raised $1,443.20 to be donated to the non-profit division of the Getting Out by Going In (GOGI) program.

The funds will be used exclusively for direct materials costs to support GOGI expansion to neighboring California Correctional Center.

HDSP has recently expanded their GOGI leadership groups to include all yards with more than 120 inmates engaged in the yearlong Peer Coach Certification process which stresses pro-social leadership training and pro-social peer mentoring.
