Robert Staves

Sierra Conservation Center (SCC) reported the passing of retired Correctional Officer Robert Staves on June 13, 2017.

He began his CDCR career at SCC in September 2004 as a Heavy Equipment Operator.

He entered the Training Academy in May 2006 and was hired as a Correctional Officer at SCC in November 2006.

He retired in April 2015.

    Thank you all for the thoughts and prayers. Rob was loved by so many. He loved his job and was so very proud to wear the CDCR badge. He worked hard everyday trying not only to make someone else’s job easier but also trying to say something kind of funny to everyone he came into contact with, hoping to brighten their day.

    We all miss him beyond words.
