Division of Adult Parole Operations (DAPO) agents recently joined forces with law enforcement agencies to make connections in the community during National Night Out.

Sacramento Parole Agents Tony Torres, Clint Cooley, Anthony Quintana and Parole Administrator Michelle Lewis participated in the South Sacramento area National Night Out along with the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Department and Sacramento Sheriff Impact Gang Division.

DAPO agents were able to participate in three different locations for National Night Out.  They stopped by the Jack Davis Park, Rainbow Park and the Mutual Housing on the Greenway.  All three locations hosted National Night Out, providing the community food and kid activities such as basketball, coloring, water games and face painting.

What is National Night Out?

The event is an annual community-building campaign that promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood togetherness to make neighborhoods safer. National Night Out enhances the relationship between neighbors and law enforcement while bringing back a true sense of community. It also provides a great opportunity to bring police and neighbors together under positive circumstances.
