The CDCR has openings for technically skilled Stationary Engineer professionals.

The Stationary Engineer, under general direction, performs a variety of skilled work in the operation, maintenance and repair of boiler, heating, air conditioning, ventilating, lighting, power, water, water treatment, and other mechanical systems normally found in a state institution, hospital, large office building or complex of buildings. The Stationary Engineer may instruct or lead resident workers and do other related work.

CDCR will be administering the written examination for Stationary Engineers at select locations.  Self-scheduling begins on October 4, 2017 at 10 a.m.

The salary range is $6,249 to $6,541 a month.
