When there was a call for help from a state employee trapped in Norway, a Mule Creek State Prison (MCSP) medical professional answered.
Mule Creek State Prison (MCSP) recently held its fourth annual Junior Corrections Academy on the grounds of the prison and the former Preston Youth Correctional Facility. The Junior Academy was designed to give the children of MCSP employees a chance to learn more about the job their parents do every day and to expose them to the field of corrections law enforcement.
Mule Creek State Prison (MCSP) hosted its 11th annual Memorial Golf Tournament on at the Castle Oaks Golf Club in Ione, raising over $18,000. This year’s event benefited two staff members, Correctional Officer Joel Cantu and Health Records Technician I Felicia Smith.
A Father’s Day trip turned into a rescue mission for a Mule Creek State Prison case records technician and his son. Thomas Haeseker was enjoying his special day with his family on vacation and taking wilderness training with his young son, Hunter, when things quickly went downhill.
In observance of National Crime Victims’ Rights Week, Mule Creek State Prison (MCSP) hosted its annual five-day Victim Impact Speakers Panel. The panel was composed of victims and survivors of crime representing various victims’ rights organizations: Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD), Lodi Gang Reduction Intervention Program, Parents of Murdered Children, Operation Care, and the Partnership for Re-entry Program.
