The Placement/Layoff Options Worksheets that were sent to employees impacted by the Wave 3 Layoffs are due back to the Office of Resource Planning (ORP) by close of business Thursday, Feb. 28.

A video explaining how to fill out the worksheets, which are specific to each employee, is available on the Layoff Resources website. It can be found by clicking of Step 4 in the Layoff Process.

An impacted employee’s options are based on the primary demotional pattern for the employee’s impacted classification, and the employee’s personal demotional pattern, which is determined by the classifications the employee has held on a permanent basis – excluding classifications specific to another state agency.

When filling out the worksheet, the employee is asked to look at the vacancies available, choose any that would be acceptable, and then rank them in descending order of preference, 1, 2, 3, etc. The employee also has the option to resign, retire, or elect to be laid off.

After the employee has ranked which, if any, options would be acceptable, the worksheet must be signed and faxed to the fax number listed at the bottom of each page, or it can be signed, scanned and e-mailed in PDF format to the e-mail address on the worksheet.

Either form of submission must be done by close of business Thursday, Feb. 28. Step 4 of the Layoff Resources Process includes a link to the Options Process Worksheet Tracker that allows an employee to determine if a worksheet has been received by ORP. It is updated on a daily basis.

Impacted employees are reminded that once submitted, no amendments will be accepted.

Failure to return a worksheet may result in ORP attempting to place an employee, but if a placement cannot be made, the employee may face lay off.
