Terri McDonald, California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation Undersecretary, Operations, has accepted a position with the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department as Assistant Sheriff of Custody Operations, said CDCR Secretary Jeffrey Beard.
Undersecretary McDonald’s last day with CDCR is Feb. 28.
Secretary Beard also announced that Martin Hoshino will become Acting Undersecretary, Operations, and Dr. Diana Toche will become Acting Undersecretary, Administration and Offender Services. Those moves will become effective March 1.
Undersecretary McDonald has served in her position since October 2011. She has served in many capacities in the Division of Adult Institutions and has been a part of the executive team leading and overseeing the Division of Adult Parole Operations.
She also was instrumental in the implementation of Assembly Bill 109, Secretary Beard said.
“As Ms. McDonald leaves CDCR, I want to thank her for many years of service, commitment and dedication to the Department and the state of California,” Secretary Beard said. “Her work is sincerely appreciated, and she will be greatly missed.”
