An inmate photo sale fundraiser at the California Correctional Center (CCC) raised nearly $2,000 to help Camp Ronald McDonald’s Sensory Garden Project.
The camp’s Sensory Garden will be filled with plants, flowers and environmental elements that will engage and entice all of the senses of camp participants.
Recently, CCC Chief Deputy Warden Matt Mullin presented the $1,902 check to Vicky Flaig, Camp Ronald McDonald’s Director.
“Camp Ronald McDonald removes all the barriers that campers with special needs have physical and mental,” said Flaig. “The addition of the sensory garden will expand our program areas as well as keep current with trends of healthy eating and physical activity.”
All of the money contributed was generated at an inmate photo sale. For more information about Camp Ronald McDonald at Eagle Lake, you may contact them at (916) 734-4230 or visit their website at www.rmhcnc.org (this website may be not viewable from a CDCR computer).
