CDCR has 10 fires camps, including two female fire camps, helping fight a huge blaze in Southern California today, the Fire Camp chief reported.
The camps helping fight the Falls Fire are Miramonte, Mountain Home, Bautista, Fenner Canyon, McCain Valley, Prado, Oak Glen, Pilot Rock, Rainbow and Puerta La Cruz, consisting of 32 crews, 429 inmates with 47 CDCR staff, said Capt. Jorge Santana.
Of those 10 camps deployed to this fire, two female camps are involved with eight crews of 119 female firefighting inmates, Capt. Santana said.
The fast-growing Falls Fire in Southern California’s Cleveland National Forest forced the evacuation of communities in Riverside County and Lake Elsinore, according to the U.S. Forest Service.
