The Andre Tate Foundation will hold a fundraising memorial walk on Sept. 14, 2013 to benefit the charity named after a late CDCR Office of Internal Affairs Senior Special Agent.
The event is the kick-off for the foundation that honors the memory of Senior Special Agent Tate. The walk will begin 7:30 a.m. at the Goldy S. Lewis Community Center in Central Park, Rancho Cucamonga, Calif.
The Andre Tate Foundation is a non-profit organization that was established to provide mentoring programs for our youth, offering academic support, enrichment experiences and opportunities to develop leadership skills. The organization is dedicated to motivating our youth to excel academically in their pursuit of higher education and career goals.
The Foundation’s supporters are looking for volunteers and children who would benefit from the program.
Senior Special Agent Tate died in November, 2012, shortly after his 54th birthday, cutting short a law enforcement career that spanned 30 years.
After his death, his wife, Lisa Tate, decided to create the Andre Tate Foundation.
