The flu is sweeping across California and the rest of the nation. It is not too late to protect yourself by getting a flu shot,  CDCR’s Office of Employee Wellness says.

Between 3,000 and 49,000 Americans die of influenza each year, according to the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. More than 200,000 are hospitalized annually with flu-related complications, such as pneumonia.

The Office of Employee Wellness also offers a poster to remind everyone to “Cover Your Cough” and a recommendation from the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) that everyone “Take 3” actions to fight the flu.
