California State Prison-Corcoran (CSP-Corcoran) has donated $500 to the U. S. States Naval Sea Cadet Corps (NSCC) at the Lemoore Naval Station in Lemoore, CA.

The NSCC is a congressionally chartered, U. S. Navy-based organization that serves to teach individuals 13 to 18 years old about naval operations and training, community service, citizenship, and an understanding of discipline and teamwork.

The $500 from CSP-Corcoran will assist the Cadets to attend training in San Francisco to train side by side with men and women who are in active duty with the military.

The cadets are not required to enlist in the military. However, the training they receive while as Cadets provides structure and leadership.
