The event was held at the Hanford Civic Auditorium and presented by the United Combat Association (UCA). The principal goal of the UCA is to give aspiring Public Safety boxers who serve and protect the chance to make a name for themselves by publicly recognizing their talent in the ring.
The UCA works with the Battle of the Badges to find the best Public Safety boxers and provide safe competitive matches with the boxer’s safety being the top priority. Once the top rated boxers are established they are given the opportunity to compete for the most prestigious award in Public Safety boxing, the UCA Championship Title Belt.
The event was hosted by the SAC Fallen Officers Fund, a non-profit organization that provides assistance to families of officers who are injured or killed in the line of duty.
CSP Corcoran’s Honor Guard performed a Presentation of Colors and conducted the silent 10 count bell rings prior to the fight.
