Pleasant Valley State Prison (PVSP) Fire Department’s fourth annual “Fill the Boot” fundraiser raised $1,676 for the Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA) raising $1,676.
In the past four years, PVSP has raised an average of $1,000 to send children to the weeklong MDA Summer Camp. The donations are also used to provide MDA families with medical treatment and other services within the Central Valley.
PVSP Fire Department’s “Fill the Boot” drive went office to office, door to door to raise money for MDA.
“With everything going on in the world, it’s nice to see staff willing to give back to those in need”, said Fire Captain Pete Gonzalez.
Through worldwide research, comprehensive medical services, far-reaching professional education, and with the generous help of friends such as PVSP, MDA continues to make a difference to more than a thousand families in Central California.
