CDCR’s Southern Parole Region hosted 22 children and their parents for the annual Take your Sons and Daughters to Work Day.
The day began with a welcome by the Regional Parole Administrator Maria Franco and a full breakfast, courtesy of the staff.
Agents from the Office of Correctional Safety demonstrated defensive tactics, and the California Parole Apprehension Team displayed some of their safety equipment.
That was followed by a tour of the T.H. Pendergast California Parole Museum in Diamond Bar.
The children were allowed to get inside a California Highway Patrol cruiser and then fingerprinted for their parents’ records.
The day ended with lunch and a Certificate of Participation for each child.
